1. Superintendents’ National Dialogue and NWEA
The Superintendents’ National Dialogue is an online community developed and hosted by NWEA for the purpose of facilitating dialogue among experienced public school superintendents about how to meet emerging educational needs in the United States.
This community is hosted by NWEA, but members set the agenda and drive the discussion. It is intended to give experienced practitioners a voice in educational policy. It is a place for superintendents to come together to engage in dialogue and share experiences, best practices and resources around topics of national importance and mutual interest, such as education reform. It is a place where NWEA and partner organizations may provide relevant information, but is not a forum for marketing or promotion of commercial products and services. Membership is by invitation only. If you are interested in becoming a member, please complete the Contact Us form on sndhome.org
The Community features both public and private sections. Resources within the private sections of the Community are typically contributed by Superintendents’ National Dialogue members and are not the property of NWEA. If you would like to re-use or share content found in the private sections of the Community with non-members, you should contact the author directly for permission.
2. Acceptance of Terms/Overview
Please read, understand and abide by the following guidelines listed below. These guidelines are intended to provide a productive, safe environment for all, as well as your typical exciting legal copy.
By registering as a user of this site, you agree to the Superintendents’ National Dialogue guidelines and rules that are found in the following section. Abuse of these rules may result in the suspension or deletion of your account.
3. Community Guidelines
To help get you started and maximize your experience we’ve established a few guidelines for your participation in the site.
Respect and Protect. We’re here to engage in Dialogue, as defined by Daniel Yankelovich: “a discussion that includes three essential elements: 1) equality and the absence of coercive influences 2) listening with empathy and 3) bringing assumptions into the open without judgment.” While we encourage you to engage and collaborate, we ask that you show respect and help promote Dialogue within the community at all times. Behavior that inhibits Dialogue is unacceptable. Inappropriate content will be deleted by our administrator, and the offending member will be warned or removed from the community. If you encounter content on the site that you feel is in violation of these guidelines, please report it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Share. The opportunity to exchange ideas and resources is something we’re really excited about. Please remember to give proper credit by citing your sources and providing links where appropriate.
Participate. Feel free to comment, chime in, elaborate, and reply to anything happening in our community. We’re all here to help each other so we invite you to pose questions and add to the conversation.
Don’t Solicit. Our community is here for people to contribute, participate, and discuss. Please don’t use the Superintendents’ National Dialogue for any advertising or self-promotion. We invite you to share links and resources you find that bring value and pique the interest of your fellow community members.
Let Us Know. We want to know what you like and don’t like, and what else you’d like to see. The community is always evolving so please stay in touch and let us know what you think. Send comments and suggestions to email@example.com.
If you have questions or concerns about these guidelines, please contact the administrator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
